“Killer” charged with murder

25-year-old Malcolm Grandison, aka ‘Killer’, of George Street, Glamorgan, will appear before a Scarborough magistrate today, Monday 31st January, 2022 charged with the murder of Rawle Larry Joseph, which occurred sometime between January 4th 2022 and January 6th 2022. A Tobago man is expected to appear virtually before a Scarborough Magistrate today, charged with the murder of Rawle Larry Joseph, which occurred sometime between January 4th 2022 and January 6th 2022.

MALCOLM GRANDISON, aka ‘Killer’, 25, of George Street, Glamorgan, was charged with the offence, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on Friday28th January, 2022.

Joseph, 34, a tradesman, of Windward Road, Glamorgan, was last seen on Tuesday 4th January, 2022 and reported missing to officers of the Roxborough Police Station, on Wednesday 5th January, 2022.His body was subsequently discovered on Thursday 6th January,2022, along a river bank at Belmont Road, Hope Village, Tobago.

The accused was arrested on Wednesday 19th January, 2022 at his home, by officers attached to the Homicide Bureau of Investigations(HBI), Region One, Tobago Office, following investigations conducted into the matter.

Investigations were supervised by Insp. Mongroo and W/Sgt. (Ag.)Quashie George, of the HBI, Region One, Tobago Office, with the assistance of ACP Nurse and a team of officers attached to the Tobago Division, the Special Investigations Unit and the Canine Unit.

Grandison was charged by WPC Marcelle, of the HBI Region One, on Saturday 29th January, 2022.
