A 28-year-old man from La Brea was arrested this morning during an anti-crime exercise for possession of marijuana. The following is a press release from the TTPS:

One man was arrested and a quantity of marijuana seized by officers of the South Western Division, during an anti-crime exercise conducted in La Brea early this morning. The exercise, coordinated by Snr. Supt. Brandon John, Supt. Norton, ASP Mathura and Insp.

Marcelle, was conducted between 5 am and 10 am, on Thursday 7th October, 2021 and included officers of the La Brea Criminal Investigations Department, South Western Division Task Force, Canine Unit and the La Brea Police Station. During the exercise, a 28-year-old La Brea man was arrested for possession of 944 grammes of marijuana, while three other men from the area were held on outstanding warrants. Investigations are ongoing.
