La Brea teen charged with larceny granted $100,000 bail

Christopher Dells, a 19-year-old of Vessigny Village, La Brea, was granted $100,000 bail when he appeared virtually before Senior Magistrate Alicia Chankar at the Point Fortin Magistrates’ Court, charged with School Breaking and Larceny.

According to police reports the suspect was charged in connection with a report made on March 2nd. On December 18th, 2020, a member of staff secured the National Energy Skills Center (NESC) and left.

Upon his return on Tuesday 2nd March 2021, he observed that the welding shop on the compound was broken into. He noticed 29 Milwaukee grinders, two welding curtains, four Fabricator welding plans, one bench cylinder and 16 welding cables were missing.

Following the report, WPC Homer of the La Brea Criminal Investigation Department (CID) conducted enquiries, which led to the arrest of the suspect. The accused is expected to reappear at court virtually on Thursday 1st April, 2021.
