NEL chairman Ingrid Lashley.

The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd has announced that Ingrid Lashley has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the company with effect from February 1.

A notice posted on the T&T Stock Exchange said Lashley is an accountant with over 30 years extensive experience in finance, banking and accounting.

The Notice is published pursuant to Section 64(1)(b) of the Securities Act (2012).

It explained that Lashley is a governance professional who is an independent director and is also the chairman of the company’s Audit Committee.

The Board of Directors congratulated Lashley on her appointment.

Lashley is the chairman of the National Enterprises Ltd.

She is the former managing director/chief executive officer of T&T Mortgage Finance Company Limited (TTMF).

Prior to joining TTMF, Ingrid spent 18 years at Scotiabank exiting as the general Mmanager of Scotiatrust and Merchant Bank

Lashley is the holder of a Masters in Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and also carries the designations of Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and Chartered Accountant.
