The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) has advised in a statement that from tomorrow, Thursday, lights at recreation grounds across the country will be taken off to discourage public gatherings.

Effective tomorrow, March 19, the lights installed on recreation grounds across Trinidad will not come on at dusk as normal.
The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) has taken this decision to assist the country in its efforts towards reducing the spread of Covid-19, by discouraging gatherings at public spaces.
The decision will remain in effect until further notice and applies only to recreation grounds.
T&TEC thanks citizens for their understanding during this difficult time.
