Sangre Grande Regional Corporation Chairman, Anil Juteram yesterday welcomed and extended the olive branch to the newly-appointed PNM MP for Toco Sangre Grande Roger Monroe.

Monroe had been an alderman at the UNC controlled corporation.

Juteram spoke at a meeting of the corporation where and incoming Alderman Ronnie Lochan was also appointed to fill Monroe’s place. Lochan is PNM’s former candidate for Cumuto Manzanilla. He lost to the UNC’s Rai Ragbir.

Juteram said, “We’re looking forward to working with both new members – new MP Monroe and Alderman Lochan- in unity for the people of the region and our country as a whole.”
