A 35-year-old Malabar man died on Saturday night after he was ejected from his vehicle during a road traffic accident. According to police, around 9 pm Shomari Holder of Napould Court, Malabar was proceeding west along the Churchill Roosevelt highway driving a white Nissan Tiida.
Upon reaching the vicinity of the Nestle compound, he reportedly hit the culvert on the Northern side of the highway, lost control of his vehicle and flipped several times along the highway causing him to be ejected from the vehicle and land on the roadway.Emergency Health Services personnel checked for signs of life, however, there were none.
The District Medical Officer visited the scene, made his pronouncements and ordered the removal of the body.
His body was removed by undertakers and the vehicle was taken to the St Joseph Police Station.
A post mortem is expected to be conducted today.
