Donovan Sheldon Clarke, 45, is expected to appear virtually before the Port of Spain Magistrates Court today charged with allegedly stealing a cellphone at the Ministry of Education. The following is a press release from the TTPS:

DONOVAN SHELDON CLARKE, 45, was arrested yesterday in relation to a cell phone that was allegedly stolen at the Ministry of Education office in Port of Spain. He was subsequently charged for the offence of larceny by W/Ag Cpl Moses. He is scheduled to appear virtually at the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court today.

The combined efforts of officers of the Port of Spain Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the Cyber and Social Media Unit resulted in the apprehension of Clarke in Morvant on Monday 23rd August, 2021. A cell phone was also recovered. The arrest followed investigations into an incident involving a cell phone that was allegedly stolen from the office located on St. Vincent Street, Port of Spain. The suspect was interviewed and charged the following day.
