One man was arrested and a quantity of marijuana and cash seized by officers of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) during an anti-crime exercise conducted in San Fernando yesterday.

According to police reports, based on information received, officers conducted a search at a house in St Andrews Avenue, Cocoyea Village, where they found and seized 3.67kg of marijuana, along with a scale and $38,497.00 cash.

The suspect, Alan Stuart, was arrested and charged by PC Mc Knight for possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, and he will appear at the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court today.

The Financial Investigation Bureau of the TTPS is continuing investigations into the cash which was seized. The exercise was spearheaded ACP Balram and supervised by Sgt. Mark Hernandez.
