Officers of the Northern Division Task Force Task Force arrested one man and recovered a stolen vehicle at Pinto Road, Arima, during an anti-crime exercise yesterday.
The exercise was supervised by Ag Cpl. Sookram and assisted by PCs Hutchinson and Bunyun. According to police reports, at around 2:45 pm on Tuesday, a man was standing outside his vehicle, a white Nissan Tiida valued at $35,000.00 at Pinto Road Arima, when a man wearing a mask and armed with a firearm in his hand, approached the victim.
The victim became fearful and ran off leaving his vehicle. The suspect then entered the vehicle and drove off. An all-points bulletin was sent out and shortly afterwards, the suspect, Josiah Williams, 20, of Pinto Road, Arima, was intercepted along Noreiga Trace, Arima. He was arrested and charged.
