A 36-year-old man was shot dead while in his car at Temple Street in Arima on Thursday afternoon. The victim has been identified as Keron Richardson, 36, of Liverpool Circular, Temple Street.
According to a police report, at about 2.45 pm a relative heard a gunshot and, upon checking, saw Richardson dead and slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle, a grey Nissan Cube. Richardson was shot once in the head.
Police said they were told that Richardson had left home at about 9 am to purchase grocery items. Police are yet to determine a motive for the killing.
An autopsy has been scheduled at the Forensic Science Centre.
