A person of interest in the disappearance of Trinidadian Miya Marcano has been found dead at an apartment complex in Seminole County, Florida.

“It appears he has killed himself,” Florida’s Orange County Sheriff John Mina said.

At a press conference held at 3 pm, Sheriff Mina announced that a warrant was issued for 27-year-old Armando Manuel Caballero, who was a maintenance person at Arden Villas Apartments where Miya also works, lives and was last seen.

“We have been actively searching for this weekend,” the sheriff said.

Mina said Caballero showed a romantic interest in Miya but the feelings were one-sided.

On Friday the day Miya disappeared Caballero told police that he last saw her at 3 pm.

Evidence now shows that a master key, which Caballero is known to be in possession of was used to enter Miya’s apartment half an hour before her shift ended at the apartment complex.

“We are employing anyone with any information about Miya’s whereabouts to please come forward,” Sheriff John Mina pleaded.

Mina said detectives and her family members suspect foul play.

Miya, 19, is the daughter of popular Soca Deejay Marlon Marcano or djeternal vibes.

Since her disappearance, several soca artistes in this country and throughout the Caribbean have put out the missing person bulletin on their social media.

“Almighty father take the wheel,” Soca Artiste Lil Bitts wrote.
