A man who was shot dead in the parking lot of a KFC outlet in Valsayn on Wednesday afternoon has been identified.
Police said his name was given as Al Hyman of Five Rivers, Arouca.
According to a police report, Hyman was at the carpark near a car when a gunman approached him and opened fire.
He was shot multiple times to the forehead, right hand and right leg.
The incident occurred shortly before 6 pm.
Police said Hyman at one time was labelled as one of the country’s most wanted and dangerous man.
Police said he was heavily involved in the drug trade and specialized in the trading of the assault rifle, the AK47.
Police believe his killing was drugs and firearms-related.
They also received information that his killers may have been Latinos and would have abandoned their get-away car along the Trantrail Road in Caroni minutes after.
