A 19-year-old Cunupia man was ordered to have absolutely no contact with a 16-year-old girl after appearing before a Chaguanas Magistrate today charged with two counts of sexual penetration of a child.
The accused was also instructed to stay 200 feet away from the girl as part of his bail conditions set at $75,000 by Magistrate Adrian Darmanie.The charges were laid by W/Cpl (Ag.) Fox of the Central Division Child Protection Unit (CPU) yesterday.
According to police reports, on April 17th, CPU detectives were alerted by a woman that her 16-year-old daughter left home and went to the house of a 19-year-old man in Cunupia where it is alleged that she engaged in sexual intercourse with him. Enquires were spearheaded by W/Superintendent (Ag.)
Claire Guy-Alleyne and supervised by W/Insp (Ag.) Haynes, which led to the arrest of the man who was later charged with two counts of sexual penetration of a child. The man will reappear before the court on May 18th, 2021.
