A 23-year-old man was shot and wounded after he was robbed on Wednesday night in San Juan.
According to a police report, shortly after 8 pm, the victim was walking in a supermarket parking at the corner of Saddle Road and Laventille Road when he was held up by a gunman who ordered him to hand over his cash and other valuables.
The victim handed it over but was shot twice in the right thigh.
The gunman then escaped. The victim was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he was treated and warded in a serious condition.
