The man who was shot dead at Pelican Extension, Morvant on Wednesday night has been identified as Gabriel Boland.
According to a police report, at about 11 pm residents heard several gunshots in the area and subsequently notified the police.
Responding officers found Boland bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds.
He died on the scene.
The body was identified by his family members yesterday at the Forensic Science Centre in St James.
When approached for a comment, Boland’s family said they had none as they were too distraught to speak about him.
Officers from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II are investigating.
