Investigations are continuing into a shooting incident on Thursday morning, involving a man from Carlsen Field, who left his home to go to a nearby shop to make a purchase.
According to a police report, the victim left his home at about 5:30 am and proceeded to a nearby shop to purchase items. However, the victim’s female relative said she heard several gunshots ring out no long after he left on his errand.
The victim reportedly returned to their home a few minutes afterwards, bearing multiple gunshot wounds and other injuries about his body.
He was taken to the Chaguanas District Health Facility where he was treated and subsequently transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
Ag/Cpl Baboolal and PC Ramcharan of the Freeport C.I.D and a party of officers of the Central Division Task Force visited the scene.
