Maracas Bay Police Station found a large quantity of marijuana during an anti-crime exercise in the Maracas Bay area. Details follow in this press release from the TTPS: 

A large quantity of marijuana was found and seized in the Maracas Bay area by officers of the Maracas Bay Police Station during an anti-crime exercise yesterday, Tuesday 21st September, 2021, 

Based on information received, the officers proceeded to a track off the North Coast Road which led them to the Maracas Bay Fishing Village. After conducting a search in the area, one white crocus bag containing 25 packets of marijuana was seized. The total combined weight of the marijuana seized was 12 kilograms.  

The exercise was coordinated by Ag/Snr. Supt. Winston Maharaj, Ag/Supt. Ramjohn, Asp Pariman, and supervised by Sgt Jack.
