Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs closed for sanitisation

The Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs office has been closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19. The compound will remain closed to facilitate sanitisation. The office will be re-opened on May 3rd. The following is a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

The Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM office has been closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19. The compound will remain closed to facilitate sanitisation. The office will be re-opened on May 3rd.

The Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs wishes to advise the public on the closure of its office today, Thursday 29th April, 2021 upon being notified of an employee testing positive for COVID-19. The employee’s last day at work was Monday 26th April, 2021.

The Ministry will remain closed to facilitate the thorough cleaning and sanitization of the compound and will reopen for business on Monday 03rd May, 2021. The Ministry has been observing all of the necessary Ministry of Health guidelines and protocols for the avoidance of the spread of COVID-19, including the regular sanitization of frequently touched surfaces, wearing of face masks while on the premises, hand sanitization stations throughout the buildings and the testing of the temperature of each person entering the compound. Office operations at the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs will resume on Monday 3rd May, 2021.
