MOH COVID-19 update: Four additional returning nationals test positive for COVID-19

Four additional returning nationals have tested positive for COVID-19. Three of the four nationals are recently deported nationals from the United States while the other is a returning student from Barbados.

The following is a press release from the Ministry of Health:

The Ministry of Health provides the following clinical update as of the morning of Tuesday 30th June, 2020:

 Number of samples submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and UWI site for testing forCOVID-19 5061
 Number of unique patient tests completed 3986
 Number of repeated tests 1075
 Number of samples which have tested positive 130
 Number of deaths 8
 Number of persons discharged 113

The Ministry of Health provides the following update:

·         Four (4) additional returning nationals have tested positive for COVID-19. Three of the four are recently deported nationals from the United States, while one is a returning student from the Barbados cohort.  All cases are imported. All established protocols are being implemented.

·         Four (4) persons have been discharged from the Caura Hospital.
