Only persons with an appointment will be administered COVID-19 vaccines at this time. In a press release issued by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry stated that no walk-in vaccination requests are being facilitated.
This includes the vaccination sites at the Paddock, Queen’s Park Savannah and the National Racquet Centre of Trinidad and Tobago in Tacarigua as well as the 24 Designated COVID-19 Vaccination Health Facilities. The following is a press release from the Ministry of Health:
The Ministry of Health reminds the public that, at this time, COVID-19 vaccines are being administered to people with existing appointments only.
Thus presently, no walk-in vaccination requests are being facilitated. This includes the vaccination sites at the Paddock, Queen’s Park Savannah and the National Racquet Centre of Trinidad and Tobago in Tacarigua as well as the 24 Designated COVID-19 Vaccination Health Facilities.
This information was provided in the Ministry of Health Media Release dated 21st April, 2021. While new appointments are not currently being given, healthcare workers, people with non-communicable diseases and those who are 60 years and older may contact the various COVID-19 Vaccination Facilities, via the call-in or WhatsApp numbers, to be included in the list of eligible persons who are interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, when new stock is available.
The Ministry also reminds the public that all persons with underlying medical conditions should liaise with their healthcare provider before taking the COVID-19 vaccine. It should be noted that the following persons should NOT get the COVID-19 Vaccine at this time: o Pregnant and breastfeeding women o People younger than 18 years of age o People with a history of severe reactions to a component in the vaccine
