President general of the National Trade Union Centre (NATUC) James Lambert is advising public servants to turn up to work on January 17 regardless of their vaccination status.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon in Port of Spain, Lambert said the union has not received any document stating that there has been a change in the terms and conditions of public servants.
Lambert said he is fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. He said the union encourages members to get vaccinated but it does not support a vaccine mandate.
He said the union will not negotiate with politicians.
