NATUC—the National Trade Union Centre—will be sharing the labour movements perspectives on the various impacts and implications for Trinidad and Tobago, of the current coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

According to NATUC General Secretary, Michael Annisette, there will be tremendous economic and social fallout as a result of the pandemic, not just here in T&T, but around the world.

NATUC top Executive Officers will be highlighting these issues and sharing labour movement’s response to it, at a press conference at the NUGFW headquarters on Henry Street in Port of Spain, at 9:30 am on Wednesday 25 March, 2020.

Only yesterday, OWTU President General Ancel Roget expressed concern about the issue of “pandemic leave”, which has been proposed by the Government, and which currently is under discussion at the tripartite level.
