The National Lotteries Control Board (NLCB) has joined scores of other organisations supporting health workers by donated over 40 cases in hand sanitisers to the Regional Health Authorities in order to assist frontline workers in the fight against the virus.

Healthcare workers are at the frontline of the COVID-19 fight which has seen 114 confirmed infections so far, and eight unfortunate deaths.

“We at the NLCB understand the vital role that our health care personnel play in the management and containment of the spread of COVID-19. They are our primary defenders in the battle and every bit of support given to them counts in the long run,” NLCB Marketing and Public Relations Officer, Lisandra Thompson said.

The statement by the NLCB said that Orb Distributors Limited, which supplied the sanitisers to the NLCB, also donated a multitude of janitorial chemicals, safety, industrial and other products such as multi-purpose cleaners, disinfectants, anti-bacterial soap and nitrile gloves.

It said that all of these products are to be distributed throughout the various public hospitals and health centres in need.
