Gov't caves: FATCA heads to JSC

The government has given in to the opposition's demands, and the FATCA bill will head to a joint select committee of Parliament.

The decision was taken today as both sides met to discuss the way forward.

But Finance Minister Colm Imbert is making it clear that the government will not rush the legislation and says he will be seeking an extension of time from the US treasury.
