Opposition calls for removal of chief election officer

The opposition senate bench today called for the removal of the chief election officer because she is a relative of a sitting government minister.

Senator wade mark says for the EBC to function effectively it must be seen as neutral. 

He made the call while moving a motion that seeks to give the parliament oversight into the operations of the EBC. Akash Samaroo has more.
