Nutrimix founder dies at age 73

The founder of the Nutrimix Group of Companies, Shaheed Mohammed, died yesterday.

According to a release from the company, the funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

When contacted, Mohammed’s son Ronnie declined to comment at the time on his father’s passing.

Under the announcement on their Facebook page, over 100 wellwishers extended condolences to the family and shared fond memories of Mohammed, who was 73.

Ashraff Hosein said: “I learnt a lot from Mr Shaheed and I clearly remember the 1st day I joined the Company, he didn’t know me yet but he singled me out from everyone and said come over you’re moving me in my vehicle to the restaurant where all the invitees to the Nutrimix Flour Mills were also invited to have lunch with him. A true businessman who was dedicated to the success of the Nutrimix group of Companies. May his soul RIP and may his family remain comforted knowing that he is in a better place.”

Faith Singh said he touched many lives with his wisdom and knowledge.

“I thank God that I had the privilege to cross his path as a friend and colleague in life journey.”

Representatives from other companies also used the opportunity to offer their condolences to the family. (RK)
