There is growing concern that an oil spill in the Oropouche basin is turning into a disaster. 

Two weeks ago, one of Heritage Petroleum’s pipeline ruptured, leaking oil into the new cut channel and the Godineau river. 

Despite the company deploying response teams, Senior Reporter Kevon Felmine and cameraman Ivan Toolsie learned there may be an incursion into the surrounding wetlands.
