One man has been charged with six offences of larceny in Oropouche.
According to police reports, officers acting on information received, went to a restaurant and bar in South Oropouche, where they met a 34-year-old man who was wanted in connection with six breakings over two months in Oropouche.


The officers identified themselves to the man and he was cautioned, following which he was arrested and taken to the Siparia Police Station pending further investigations.


A search was conducted at the man’s Paltoo Trace, South Oropouche home and other locations where one water pump and articles of clothing from the breakings were found.

The exercise was conducted by the officers of the Oropouche Police Station, supervised by Cpl Thompson, PCs Hosein Kunjal and Baboolal.
He was charged by PCs Hosein Kunjal and Baboolal. The man is expected to appear before the Siparia Magistrates’ Court today to answer to the various charges of larceny.
