Parts of Morvant and San Juan currently without a pipe-borne water supply should expect relief by tonight.

Parts of Morvant and San Juan currently without a pipe-borne water supply should expect relief by tonight.

An advisory from the Water and Sewerage Authority explains that repairs currently are underway at the Morvant Reservoir and Bagatelle Booster Station respectively, both of which are having mechanical problems. 

WASA says the repair works should be completed by 6:00 pm today, Wednesday 30th December 2020.

Meanwhile, a limited truck borne water supply is available to affected customers upon request.

WASA customers are reminded that it may take up to 24 hours for the pipe borne water supply to normalize to some areas, after the facilities return to operation.

Areas affected include:

Morvant: Coconut Drive, Chinapoo Village, Mon Repos Road, Laventille Road Extension, Never Dirty, Crichlow Hill, Stephens Ville, Las Alturas Development, Marie Road, Pelican Extension, Second Caledonia, Cipriani Avenue.

San Juan: Sunshine Avenue, Bagatelle Road Extension, Hazel Street, Lloyd Street, Newalloville, Moses Avenue, La Hoe, Sou Sou Lands, La Fortune Road, Cocoa Road, Laventille Road, Febeau Village.
