The Ministry of Youth Development and National Service (MYDNS) is advising that students in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) who should have embarked on their in-person internships in September 2021, must contact the institution concerning this part of their training.

An advisory issued by the Ministry notes the students must make contact, as soon as possible.

“In January 2021, the CCC commenced classes virtually based on the COVID-19 restrictions. The practical component of this programme, which requires trainees to complete an in-person internship, commenced on September 1, 2021,” the Ministry explains.

“The Ministry of Youth Development and National Service wishes to advise ALL CCC students—who are required to complete this practical component—to urgently contact their Placement Officers, who will assist in making these arrangements,” the Ministry said.

The Ministry notes that the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) is a flagship programme designed to provide youth—between the ages of 16 and 25 years—an opportunity to improve their overall quality of life through the adoption of attitudinal and behavioural changes.
