Police said Mitchell received one gunshot wound to the chest, while the other victim received injuries to the right leg.

Both men were taken to the Arima District Hospital by a resident where Mitchell succumbed to his injuries.

The other victim is said to be stable with non-life-threatening injuries.

A motive is yet to be established for the deadly shooting.
