PM and Venezuelan Ambassador meet

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley met with His Excellency Carlos Amador Perez Silva, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago at the Diplomatic Centre today (Monday 21 December 2020).

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley met with His Excellency Carlos Amador Perez Silva, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago at the Diplomatic Centre today (Monday 21 December 2020).

Last week, the Prime Minister had requested the meeting with Ambassador Silva, to discuss recent developments concerning both countries—and Trinidad and Tobago’s position on those issues.

Today’s meeting between the two men focused on issues related to national security, immigration, and COVID-19.

Also present at the meeting were Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Senator Dr Amery Browne, Minister of National Security and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Stuart Young MP and Mr. Ricardo Sánchez, Chief of the Consular Section, Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
