Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley is back at work today, after being discharged from the West Shore Medical Private Hospital, yesterday.

In post on his personal Facebook page, as well as that for the Office of the Prime Minister, Dr Rowley in seen in a photo chairing a CARICOM meeting, virtually.

The caption for the photo reads:

“AT WORK: Prime Minister Dr the Hon Keith Rowley is hosting his first meeting as Chairman of CARICOM this morning.  The regional heads are meeting virtually for the 13th Special Emergency Meeting of the CARICOM Heads of Government.”

Dr Rowley is still recuperating after being taken to West Shore Medical last Friday suffering from discomfort and reported cardiac issues. After overnight observation and tests—including an angiogram—an angioplasty was done.

After the angioplasty, Dr Rowley was assessed by doctors last Sunday and discharged.

The PM’s healthcare costs will be borne by the State, according to the conditions of his remuneration package.
