Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley said the Government will make between $40 to $50 Million in aid available to those most affected by the current lockdown.
Speaking at the Ministry of Health conference on Monday afternoon, Rowley said the support will be given to those who need it the most.
The Prime Minister has announced that all food service- including street food- will be closed at midnight on Monday. He also announced the closure of all retail services- except pharmacies, supermarkets and hardwares- from midnight on Monday.
He said Finance Minister Colm Imbert has been working on making the funds available since last weekend.
The Prime Minister said if the population adheres to the regulations and do what they are required to do, he is hopeful that the country can see a reduction in COVID-19 cases by the end of the month.
He said the country can adhere to the regulations, as it was done last year, and the desired result was reached.
