Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley is expected to speak about national issues, including possibly COVID-19 issues, the economy and related matters, at a virtual public meeting the PNM holds tonight in Diego Martin.

It’s the first public meeting the PNM will be having since February.

PNM officials couldn’t say what the meeting’s theme will be but projected the PM will speak generally on national issues.

Yesterday, Rowley and Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Amery Browne attended an emergency meeting of Caricom heads. The virtual meeting focused on the management of COVID-19 in the region.

Browne said the continued presence of the virus in the region was the only item for discussion.

The Caribbean Epidemiology Centre (CARPHA) was scheduled to make a presentation.
