The People’s National Movement (PNM) has wished National Security Minister Stuart Young a speedy recovery from a fall he suffered at the opening of the Penal Fire Station earlier today.

The PNM said in a statement, “We are confident that the health care he is receiving is excellent, and we hope that his injuries are temporary, and his pain, tolerable. The PNM lifts Minister Young in our prayers and we are confident that all decent citizens of our nation will join us in praying for him.”

The party says Minister Young continues to be “a shining example of patriotism, passion and professionalism.”

It added, “His work ethic is unmatched and his contribution to our national development is tremendously appreciated, and as such, we look forward to his complete recovery and his full return to the service of his constituents in Port of Spain North/ St. Ann’s West, and his country.”

Young was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital for treatment.
