A 41-year-old prisons officer is assisting police with their investigations into a marijuana find yesterday.
On Saturday 24th July, 2021, officers of the Western and North-Eastern Divisions conducted a covert exercise based on intelligence gathered.
The officers, armed with a search warrant, made their way to an apartment located in Aranguez.
Upon their arrival, the officers conducted a search of the apartment which revealed four plastic parcels containing marijuana hidden in the kitchen ceiling.
The marijuana had a total weight of 829 grammes.
