Police are searching for two suspects who tied up and robbed a 32-year-old customs clerk and a 79-year-old man during a home invasion in Chase Village, Chaguanas, on Monday morning. The men were was on the lower floor of the two-storey home located along the Old Southern Main Road when they were accosted by two men, one of whom was armed with a gun. The gunman pointed this weapon at the old man and announced a hold-up and then tied the hands of both victims, while his accomplice ransacked the premises.
The customs clerk was robbed of his Samsung A20 cell phone valued at $2300 and a Samsung Galaxy cell phone valued at $2800. The elderly man was robbed of a Samsung A20 cell phone worth $2300 a Samsung A50 cell phone valued at $2500, a Samsung 42” led television worth $3,000, $200 in cash, a DVR recorder valued at $1,200 and an undisclosed sum of old $100 notes. One of the suspects left driving the elderly man’s silver BMW 520i, PDA 5995 and the other suspect was picked up by a white Nissan Tiida, PCA 4030. Entry into the house was gained through an open front gate.
