The Las Lomas Police are currently searching for two suspects following a home invasion along the Las Lomas #1 Road yesterday.
According to police reports, the victim stated that around 5:05 pm he was at home with his wife and two children when two men, both wearing masks and latex gloves, confronted him and announced a hold-up.
The victim told police that one of the men pointed a firearm at him and demanded that he go into the house. The men proceeded to tie up the victim and his wife and ransacked the bedroom. The men relieved the family of two wedding bands, a gaming console, two Samsung cell phones, and one silver Nissan Wingroad.
The estimated value of the theft was TT$101,500. At the end of the ordeal, the victim called the police. PCs Jeffery and WPC David, of the Las Lomas Police Post, were immediately dispatched to scene.
With the assistance of the Central Division Task Force (CDTF) and Air Support Tactical, the vehicle was tracked and recovered abandoned along the Mount Moriah Road, Cunupia.
The vehicle is currently being processed by the crime scene investigators.
