Police officers are searching for a 52-year-old man who allegedly sexually assaulted his 63-year-old sister while she was asleep at her home in Maraval on Saturday night.
Police said the victim reported that at about 9:40 pm, she was asleep at her mother’s house at Upper Paramin when she was awakened by a burning sensation inside of her vagina.
She said she saw her brother, the suspect, with his fingers inside of her vagina.
When she raised an alarm, the woman said the suspect pulled out his hand from inside of her trouser pants and stood to the side of her bed.
The police were subsequently called in, however, the suspect had already fled the scene.
Police said the man, if and when arrested can be charged for grievous sexual assault.
