Officers of the North Eastern Division recovered one firearm and items from a burglary in two separate anti-crime exercises conducted yesterday.
In the first instance, the anti-crime exercise took the officers to Bagatelle Extension Road, Laventille. There the team, which included Air Support and Canine officers, searched a bushy area where one mini Uzi Sub Machine gun was found along with one magazine containing 12 rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition. The gun and the ammunition were seized.
In the second instance, the officers recovered one Toshiba 42” television and a Play Station 3 gaming console with a pair of controls in an abandoned shack along Teak Lane in Valencia. The items were taken during a burglary which took place in Bagatelle on October 24th 2020. Also recovered at the location was one ‘SKIL’ grinder and a sander of the same brand. Investigations are continuing.
