An official statement from the Police Service reports that PC Ganga was proceeding north along the Southern Main Road, Cunupia, on Saturday evening, when he made contact with the rear bumper of a black Toyota vehicle, which led to him colliding head-on with a grey Nissan Tiida.

According to the TTPS, he was taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility by ambulance where he was stabilised and then transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope, where at 11 pm on Saturday, he succumbed to his injuries.
