Chaguanas car dealer arrested for allegedly breaching protection order

Police have arrested a car dealer from Central Trinidad for allegedly breaching a protection order.

The arrest came as police investigate a domestic violence case involving the man and his wife.

Police went to the man's home today and detained the man who is now at the Chaguanas Police Station.

He had been previously charged with a domestic violence offence at which time the protection order was put into effect by the court.

While all charges had been dropped against the man the protection order remained in place.

The arrest was made by officers of the Chaguanas CID this afternoon.

Police also searched the man's home.

Up until 4.30 Tuesday afternoon, no official charge had been laid.
