Toco is open for Easter.
That's the message thee Sangre Grande Regional Corporation is sending, as its chairman Terry Rondon seeks to get the public to come use the corporation's beaches and rivers.
A statement by the corporation says that the beaches and rivers have been prepared for use on the Easter weekend.
It says that recreational sites from Matelot to Matura are ready for campers and that visitors’ well-being is prioritized in terms of the following:
· TTPS and Municipal Police presence in the area.
· Health Centres are equipped and on the alert from Matelot to Matura.
· Life Guards are on duty.
· Toilet facilities are present.
"I am asking everyone to be very careful when going into the oceans and rivers," Rondon said.
He added: "Please do not enter the waters or drive after consuming alcohol."
And there is one final message: "Please walk with garbage bags and keep the areas clean."
