A St Ann's resident found out today, the heavy price of breaking the law.
The driver of a Nissan Sunny was given five tickets valued at $2,000 each after being stopped by police for tinted windows.
The man was given fixed ticket penalties for each of five tinted windows.
The tickets were issued around 11.15 am on the Lady Young Road on Tuesday.
As in all tickets, he must pay the full $10,000 within two weeks.
If not, he must appear as a defendant in court on August 13th, 2018.
The law states that no motor vehicle front windscreen, side windows or rear window shall be painted, tinted or darkened to obscure the view from the outside to the inside.
Currently, there is no specification in the law as to what grade of tint is acceptable or not allowed in this country.
