Mexico's Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago Rosario Molinero says her country is looking forward to the possibility of showcasing Mexico’s talent on the region’s largest cultural stage, CARIFESTA XIV, which will be hosted in Trinidad and Tobago later this year.
Molinero paid a courtesy call on Minister of Community Development, Culture and the Arts, Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly on Thursday.
She said Mexico would explore further cultural exchange opportunities through capacity building, craft, music, food, theatre among other key areas.
CARIFESTA XIV will take place from August 16th to 25th 2019.
The ministry said that Minister Gadsby-Dolly shared insights into the theme of this edition of CARIFESTA, “Connect, Share, Invest”, elaborating on the purpose of the cultural showcase- to connect artistes regionally and internationally, to exchange ideas and best practices that may stimulate economic and social progress across the region, and to diversify the local economy, especially the creative industry.
