The body of missing 16-year-old student Jesse Bephan has been found in bushes behind the Waterloo High School where he was a student.
The boy's body was discovered by friends of the family, who were helping to search for him.
They said they searched the area after students told them that some students were accustomed to breaching the school fence and going into the bushy area to lime.
The boy's parents have visited the scene and are traumatised by the discovery.
Police are currently on the scene and have cordoned off the area where the boy was found.
Bephan, of Heliconia Drive, Roystonia, Couva, was last seen at St. Mary’s Junction, Freeport, at around 2 pm on Monday 20th March, 2017.
He was reported missing to the Freeport Police Station, by his mother, Sharon Bickaroo, at 8:45 pm on the same day.
He was last seen wearing his Waterloo Secondary school uniform; grey long pants, white shirt with a monogram and black shoes.
