Former prime minister Basdeo Panday has been evicted from his Rienzi Complex office.
Mr Panday said that this morning when his secretary arrived at the location, the gates were locked and she was greeted with a big sign saying the Basdeo Panday Foundation was evicted from the premises.
Mr Panday has held an office at Rienzi Complex for more than four decades.
The former prime minister told us he has contacted the police and referred the matter to them.
Mr Panday notes that his office contains sensitive documents of persons he was assisting, as well as valuable equipment.
The former prime minister also says the eviction was ordered by Nirvan Maharaj, president general of the All Trinidad General Workers Trade Union.
