PM can back up his statements—Rohan Sinanan

Works and Transport Minister, Rohan Sinanan, says the prime minister did not make his statements this week about the Cambridge Analytica scandal, lightly.

On a political platform this week, the PM indicated that a certain advertising agency was involved in the data mining scheme.

Since Dr Rowley’s claims that company has threatened to sue.

Minister Sinanan says the prime minister knows what he is doing.

“What i know of this prime minister, whenever he speaks he has information to back up what he says. And as prime minister, he would have access to more information than the average citizen of Trinidad and Tobago.”

He adds: “I can’t speak for the prime minister, but it is public knowledge that that agency was one of the—if not the main—advertising agencies for the UNC, for a major period between 2010 and 2015.”
